About Occhii
Occhii is a New York–based luxury fashion brand focused on distinctive, well-made statement pieces designed to last. We work with special materials—from deadstock silks and wools to leathers that age beautifully—and produce in small batches with local NYC factories. Our work is rooted in material, craftsmanship, and perspective.
2026 is a key growth year for the brand, including pop-ups, new collections, and expanded community engagement.
About the Role
The Fashion Design Intern will participate in a studio-based learning experience designed to provide hands-on exposure to the creative and technical processes behind a small, independent luxury fashion brand. You will work closely with Occhii’s designer, Leo Batekhin, who is a formally trained designer and educator, who also teaches Design Studio and Senior Thesis Parsons School of Design. The intern will engage with various stages of the design and development cycle, from early concept exploration through sample development and preparation for production.
This role emphasizes design development and skill-building in addition to supporting the day-to-day realities of running a fashion brand. The internship offers guided exposure to fittings, material sourcing, and studio workflows, allowing the intern to better understand how creative ideas translate into finished garments.
